As you are probably well aware, Cheltenham Social Media Cafe is all about putting the ‘Social’ back in the Social Media so it’s only natural that we’re interested in other local events that seek to combine the geeky with the social. (Is that an oxymoron?)
Recently a new project came to life called Cotswold Jelly which aims to give freelancers a bit of social relief and team-style encouragement. We’ve asked @hojomo to give us a bit more info by providing a guest blog post. It should be with us some time next week so keep your eyes peeled for our announcing tweets.
If you’re organising a geeky-gathering or you’ve got something to say about the online/offline phenomenon please email us a synopsis. If the post fits our niche and we like the cut of your gib you could feature in an upcoming guest spot!
Send your ideas to csmc@cheltsocmedcafe.org.uk
And don’t forget to come along to our next meeting on the 13th May, 6-8pm at Pepper Crescent!
Hi,
I organise a very specific little get together for Cheltenham Connect (http://www.CheltenhamConnect.co.uk). Our membership is open to anyone who lives and/or works in the residential and trading community around Naunton Park, the South section of the Bath Road, Tivoli, The Park, The Suffolks and Leckhampton.
I lead the SkillSpace group of Cheltenham Connect and we have a meeting at Moka, Suffolk Parade, on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Next one is 10am Tues 27th April.
We bring our laptops to use the Wi-Fi and have a cuppa and a chat and then work alongside each other. I think it is our own mini “Jelly”.
We also run a Business & Freelancers meeting on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at The Beehive, Montpellier Villas 7.30pm.
For more details of all our events, please email belinda@cheltenhamconnect.co.uk or look here:

Thank you for reading this!
Still not sure if I can make this event. Out of interest, are any other cafe people attending?
I go along to the Moka Jelly and Skillspace Tuesday when I can. Very useful these events are too. Must make the next Moka in an effort to regain my Foursquare Mayorship!
Hmm, I must remember to ask about those when I see you – not heard of Moka Jelly at all!
